- Is the Nature Center available for private events after hours?
Yes, larger parties and events can be held after regular hours and you would have exclusive use of the Nature Center facility.
- Can I hold an event during the hours the Nature Center is open?
Yes, parties, meetings, and other gatherings can be held during regular business hours. The capacity is limited to 100 people when the Nature Center is open to the public.
- Do I need to work with a specific caterer?
No, you are free to use any catering company you like. Staff will go over the details of access for the caterer when you book your event. As us for our "Preferred Caterers" list!
- Can I drive into the Nature Center for my event?
You will be allowed to park one car at the Nature Center building the day of your event. If you have a caterer or other deliveries, the drivers will also be permitted to drive in and drop items off. Your guests will be asked to park in the outer parking lot and ride the convenient shuttle.
- What is the maximum capacity for an event:
Events held during business hours are limited to 100 people. After-hours events can accommodate up to 300 people.
- Can I serve alcohol at my event?
Alcohol is permitted with proper insurance and an additional fee. During business hours, alcohol is required to be served in the space set aside for your use.
- Do you have tables, chairs, or linens available?
Tables and chairs are included in your rental fee. You are responsible for providing your own linens.
- Can I decorate the room?
Yes, you may bring your own decorations. Some decorations and serving provisions are provided for Kids’ Birthday Parties. Because of the sensitive nature of our facility, helium balloons and confetti cannot be permitted.
- How much does it cost to hold an event?

- Can I play music or use a speaker at my event?
Noise is of special concern to us due to our close proximity to animals in the wild and those on exhibit. We will be happy to help you coordinate appropriate locations and levels for music, and other activities that may generate significant noise.
- What equipment do you have available for use?
A projector, laptop, and flip charts are available for an additional fee.
